Steven-Paul Lapid enlisted in the U.S. Navy and rose from the deckplates to commission as an officer, leading junior Sailors for over 25 years across a diverse range of assignments from cruisers, destroyers, amphibious warships, to Naval Special Warfare units. Known for his calm presence and practical leadership, he earned a reputation for his effective mentorship across ranks and building cohesive, high-performing teams.

He currently serves as the senior training and warfighting readiness policy analyst for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMNAVSURFPAC).

He holds degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Florida, and lives with his family in La Jolla, Calif.
